| Mana...what a strange guy. He is an actor, designer, coordinator, an artist but most imortantly, a musician. This Mana guy first caught my eye because well..he looked like a girl but was a boy. I did some research into Malice Mizeer shortly after developing an extreme liking of Japanese rock music. I'm pretty sure that the first song that I ever heard of theirs was "ma cherie" which was of course written by Mana. Their music enchanted me, Malice Mizer enchanted me, and Mana enchanted me. Mana is such a talented person. He's been working for years on Malice Mizer, and being the leader, he's at least somewhat responsible for keeping them together for so long. What is so great about Malice Mizer?
1. Music. First and foremost the music. Malice Mizer's songs are like no other..extremely lush and classical. There is not a single song of theirs which I do not love profusely. Mana incorperates tons of classical elements into whatever songs he writes (he writes the majority of them) and one of his favorite ideas is to have the twin guitar sounds sound like that of a twin harpischord. I think that's pretty original. To boot, Mana as well of the rest of Malice Mizer are etremely good at playing their music. Out of all the lives that I have on tape and have watched many times over (which would be 5 concerts and 7 other performances) I have only ever seen one mistake ever made in playing. I am a musician myself, so I pick up on these things. This is quite amazing if you compare Malice Mizer to some other bands who are around.
2. Visuals, story, world. Do Malice Mizer live on earth even? They seem to create their own world when you see them or hear them. Their world may be the anything from the deepest reaches of the mind, to a French chateau in the early morning hours to an enchanted forest. It's magical really. They create these worlds through the song lyrics and visuals. While Mana doesn't write the majority of Malice Mizer lyrics, he did write them for most of the songs on their "Bara no Seidou" album. He was put to that task though due to the fact that Malice Mizer had no vocalist at the time and therefore no lyric writer. Visuals on the other hand...Mana is a master of visual. He can transform himself into practically anything. He has taken on the role of a maid, a whore, a flower girl, a bride, a widow, a moth, a queen, a dominatrix, a child, a lily, a mourner, even a swordsman. The only thing that is very rarely seen of Mana is him looking like a normal everyday person. The only pictures of him like this are quite candid. He likes to keep to his acting.
What do I think of Mana? Well of course he's very talented...but about his personality...I think he is a shy person. He stated that he doesn't like crowds or groups. Maybe he's antisocial. however, I do not think he is a rude antisocial person who hates humanity. First hand accounts tell of him being a very very nice and well mannered person. Sometimes even he has been warm towards people! But still, they also tell of him being shy and covering his face when he laughs. Mana himself states that he is still a child at heart. I think that he may just be right.

~Mana's the "blue" member of Malice Mizer.
~Mana was born in Hiroshima, Japan on March 19th of an unknown year. Supposedly he is in the 25-35 age range.
~Mana's blood type is O
~Mana is 173 centimeters tall (around 5'6")
~Mana plays guitar, synth and keyboards for Malice Mizer
~Malice Mizer is not Mana's first band. His first band was Ves.tearge, then Girl, then he was a guest in Matenroe, and then in Malice Mizer.
~Mana likes dresses that fit tight around the waist.
~Mana is not Mana's real name. It's speculated that Mana did legally change names to "Mana" but that is just a rumor. "Mana" literally translates into "Name of the devil" (ma=evil na=name) but is always written in katakana.
~I've seen Mana change expressions maybe 3 times in all the pictures and videos that I've seen. Once a hidden smile, once a posed smile and once a mouth open. This tells that Mana-sama is a very composed person.
~Does anyone but me ever notice that Mana has very large ears?? O_o;;;;
~Mana wanted to be a Johnny once. (Go check out a picture of this in the "Various entertainment" section).
~Mana lined his school uniform with a paisley pattern in high school.
~His nickname in school was Aston Martin (after James Bond's car).
~Mana does a most if not all of Malice Mizer's choreography. Eh..he.he..he...nice job Mana.
~Mana is a good cook. He likes making Indian food and salads.
~Mana likes scooters. Specifically "Roller Through Go-Go" is his favorite kind (but he may have been making this up too).
~He had a mohawk in high school.
